Job Summary

The Technical Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth through the identification and development of technical opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of the company’s technical products or services, as well as a strong ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and customer needs. The Technical BDM will work closely with technical teams, sales, and senior management to drive revenue and expand the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for business expansion. Analyze competitors and market conditions to develop informed strategies.
2. Technical Expertise: Possess a profound understanding of the Software/Mobile App/Web development processes and technologies and stay up-to-date with industry advancements. Be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth. This may include identifying new markets, partnerships, or product enhancements.
4. Lead Generation: Generate and nurture leads through various channels, including Upwork, Linkedin, emails, etc.
5. Proposal and Presentation: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases to pitch products or services to potential clients. Tailor these materials to address client-specific needs and requirements.
6. Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support during the sales process, ensuring that customer questions and concerns are addressed.
7. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring they align with the company’s goals and profitability.
8. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyze business development activities, prepare regular reports on progress, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science) or business administration. A master’s degree may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in technical business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding business development targets.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry trends and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Industry-specific certifications or training.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales automation tools.
